rushing for 2018

im going into second year this year and was thinking about rushing.. im not the most outgoing person so i was just wondering if i would still find a place for myself or if its a waste of time?

Yes you should! You don’t have to be the most outgoing person to rush, and honestly you’ll naturally find the right fit for you and as an equally shy person, if you can get through rush, you can do anything haha

Not all the girls in my pledge class were outgoing! But that's okay because everyone still bonded and enjoyed their sorority experience.

I'll be honest tho most sororities want outgoing girls because they will mingle more with other actives and other members of the greek community. That means they will seem more involved in the Greek scene. You don't have to be outgoing but try pushing yourself to be more social

^This! It's fine to enjoy introverted activities like reading or catching tea with sisters, but have an open mind when things like mixers and philanthropy events come up for discussion. It's okay to bring your own personality when you rush/get a bid, but don't forget that when you join a community that you're agreeing to support your sisters just as they'd support you.

Exactly! If you don't participate in mixers or philanthropy or sisterhoods then the whole chapter loses out so really consider whether you're down for that because its not fair to the chapter to have girls who don't participate in anything
