why the pi phi hate

When I went through recruitment I thought I wanted to join a specific sorority, but going through all of recruitment allowed me to learn a little bit about each sorority. I ended up joining a different one than I original thought and couldn't have found a better fit.
I wouldn't let other opinions influence your decision, especially comments greek rank. People are so quick to make negative comments when they can hide behind an anonymous name. The majority of people who make those negative comments aren't part of the sorority, so they really don't know what its like to be a member. Each sorority has their strengths and weaknesses, whether its in sisterhood, philanthropy, social life, scholarship ect. My best advice is to go into recruitment with an open mind, and choose the sorority the best aligns with your values, and what you want to get out of your experience at Western.

Hey! I hope you don't listen too much to what people say on here. It's like travel websites, you only post when you have something bad to say. Every sorority here is different, but all offer something special! Give them all a chance. I love being a Pi Phi it definitely changed my university experience for the best. I will tell you we dont haze and have a zero tolerance for people who get caught doing anything illegal, so not sure where all that is coming from to be honest....

Go in with an open mind :) The sorority I never thought I'd like ended up being my #1 choice all weekend and knowing what I do now I could never call anywhere else home! You'll surprise yourself if you go in unbiased!

As other pi phi girls have said, the accusations are truly false! Greekrank isn't the best place to look for reasons, because sororities tend to bash eachother and rate their own highly. Be open during recruitment and be yourself and you'll find your fit!

Hey, pi phI here! As the other girls have said, the accusations around our sorority happened several years ago and NO current member was ever involved in getting our chapter on probation. As for derby days, we worked very hard. For example, attendance was also an important part in earning points and many of us showed up even tho we were already busy with other things.
Go into recruitment with an open mind (because you do get to meet all the houses) and don't rely on Greekrank! Most of the comments written here are not taken seriously. Hope to see you in the fall! :)

Try to go in without being biased. I went into rush really wanting to be in one of the sororities based on what I saw and read online and ended up liking some other sororities way better than that one. Most girls that I've met in Pi Phi are so genuine and sweet so choose not based on what you read online (frankly there's something negative about each sorority on GreekRank) but based on where you feel you'll fit in best and you'll for sure find your new home!
