athletes in sororities

Is it acceptable for athletes to be members of sororities at UNA? If so, will the chapters work with athletes' schedules?
Also, is the recruitment process the same regardless of your academic classification? Is it harder to be selected as an upperclassman?

As an athlete, if you'll work with us, we'll work with you! Most of us would love to have an athlete, as it shows more involvement on campus for us. As far as being an upperclassman, don't worry about it. There are several girls in my chapter who didn't rush until their junior or even senior year.
Greek life is great! Just make sure you are okay with making another time-consuming commitment. We wouldn't pull you away from athletic events, but we would expect you to be at events that don't intersect your schedule.
