by: sororityquestionsHi I was wondering what the girls in each sorority are like? What are their reputations?

With one exception, every house has a mix of girls that are involved/down to earth/status conscious/hot/not so hot etc. Depending on where your friend group from your first year goes, most girls would be fine in any one of three houses. Don't assume that just because your friends at Bama go Chi O (for example) that you'll fit in at Chi O here. There is zero alum influence, so legacies really don't carry much weight.

not true regarding legs... each sorority has different rules regarding legs but many aren't allowed to drop legs after a certain point in rush. that being said, however, don't choose a certain sorority just because you are a legacy there. sororities vary greatly from school to school and even year to year so keep and open mind and just try to find where you fit best

@soph, if you are a rising sophomore, you haven't been through rush yet from the inside. At schools like Ole Miss, alumnae are all over the sorority houses the entire time and have a huge influence on who gets a bid. Because there aren't many alumnae who live in Lex (not to mention W&L has had sororities for less than a generation), that kind of thing doesn't happen here.
