ranking sororities

When ranking sororities you also have to take into account what fraternities they hang out with the most. Just because some sorority that is usually a lower rank gets a good pledge class one year doesn't mean that they're raising in rank unless that sorority is also starting to hang out with the top frats. And just because a higher ranking sorority gets a bad pledge class doesn't mean they're falling unless the top frats stop really hanging out with them.

Kappas and KDs still pretty much hang out with the top frats pretty exclusively so neither has dropped

If your sorority doesnt regularly hang out with Kappa Sig, Delt, ChiPsi, or KA then you are not a top sorority. This only applies to Kappa, KD and Theta more recently (although they still hang out with Beta more than anyone else). Sorry ADPi, you may think you had a hot pledge class last year, but guess what, none of the guys from top fraternities could name 3 of you.
