do rankings really matter?

Just wondering how much rankings really matter. Do people really care that much??

Guys in houses might care as a pride thing. Sororities are huge on it. As long as you don't get a "rapey" reputation most girls will come in and stay depending if its fun or not, whether it be Phi Psi or Theta Xi. I guess it is somewhat correlated with attractiveness overall, but they're all better than Menlo so it doesn't matter.
