I'm a spring admit and I'm interested in Aphi. Is the likelihood of them doing COB really slim?

this year, I would guess pi phi, tridelt and adpi will take a couple and axo will too. apparently gphi got a really big pc so maybe they won't need to? they usually do but apparently they got the biggest pc so who knows

sigma delta tau, alpha delta chi, alpha chi omega, and alpha gamma delta

so, pretty much, exactly who you'd expect.

It would be anybody who is under quota
Usually smaller chapters
But last year Tri Delt, ADPi, Pi Phi also did it in addition to the ones above
All houses have drops whether it's financial or something else

pi phi and tridelt didn't do COB last year. ADPi did have a spring pledge class. but total got bumped up after recruitment ended, so half of the sororities were eligible to do COB -- doesn't mean all of them will do so publicly.

So last spring, every chapter that was under the fall quota was allowed to do spring recruitment. The only houses that were above quota were Kappa, DG and Theta. Tridelt was only under by a few so they opted to not do spring recruitment last year. Alpha Phi and Pi Phi only took a few (3-7) girls during spring. ADPi, GPhi, AGD and AXO took about 12-20 girls in the spring last year.
Not entirely sure about SDT numbers but they definitely also do spring recruitment.

Almost all spring recruitment is invite only so you need to know someone very well in the house(s) you're interested in.

My friend on Panhellenic told me that this year, Kappa, DG, Theta, Alpha Phi, Tridelt and GPhi will not need to do spring recruitment. GPhi (because they took the biggest pledge class) and Tridelt are both close enough to quota that they probably won't have to do it.

Can someone explain the invite only part? Like do the sororities not post their events for COB on the Panhellenic website?

It's hard to tell right now because a lot of girls drop in the few months leading up to initiation from every house. So while the pledge class size helps, it's not the be all end all and it's not nearly as important as how many girls each house is able to retain. So if you have a good friend in a house you'd want to be in, just ask her to put you on a list and she probably will and your chances are not zero.
