How do snap bids work and will any top houses give them out spring semester??

Snap bids only happen on fall bid day as a way of making quota. Generally to be offered one you would have had to be at pref or at least slideshow for the house in question, and subsequently have dropped out of recruitment or suicided and not received a bid.
