I know more than a few girls that joined houses that were not their first choice and now couldn't imagine themselves anywhere else. They absolutely love their houses and the friends that they have made. I think your advice is really messed up.

There are instances when a person doesn't feel the house they end up is quite right for them. You don't really know that for sure unless you give it a shot. But, there are FAR MORE instances of people who are happy in the house they end up in. This post is sooo misleading.

It's really not much of a risk. The vast majority LOVE the houses they are in even if it was not their first choice. The biggest mistake would be never giving greek life a chance. I, too, know so many people that didn't get into the house they initially thought they wanted but ended up being so glad with the way things worked out.
