If you seriously care, based purely on who gets the girls they want and who frats like to party with the most: kappa, then DG, then theta, and maybe pi phi. Based on sisterhood is another story entirely. Of these, I think pi phi's is decent at least.
Honestly just ignore the rankings. Why would you want to be in a "top" house when all you seem them doing is bash each other?

as a dude, gotta say that kappa, dg and theta are pretty much interchangeable. depends what im feelin that night. dgs are hot one night stands who are crazy in and out of bed, kappas are the hot girl you end up pinning and can't get enough of until she leaves you for some billionaire, and thetas are the hot girl you get your heart broken by after she tells you she never thought you were exclusive even though you've been dating for 6+ months (not that im bitter or anything)

I'm not in a house but checked this for laughs because I have some former RC friends who were making fun of it today, so this is coming from someone non-greek:
Girls in Kappa and DG and Theta seem really proud to be in their house and wear shirts and bags with the name emblazoned on it everywhere. I see them all studying together in groups in the library pretty often. I actually see a lot of Kappas and DGs hanging out together (and know several who are best friends), so I get the feeling that any rivalry is just made up. Theta seems to stick with each other more often.
Pi Phi isn't in-your-face about their house, but they seem to like it nonetheless. I think they're just chiller and don't care as much about greek life. That being said, I see them hanging out with Kappas and DGs a lot too. Those three seem to be tightest with each other.

And as far as the opinions of guys go, I don't think any of them care as long as you're hot. I've dated several guys in the greek system and none of them ever cared that I was a GDI. Guys don't care as much about that stuff. Some even seem to really prefer girls who aren't in a sorority! Makes you more down-to-earth.
