dirty rushing?
by: PnmI was emailed by 3 sororities, and I one of those sororities are my 1st choice. Should I reply back? What's the pros and cons of dirty rushing. Also how did they find me? Or my email? I'm not a legacy or have any friends in the house. I was emailed out of the random

Don't feel too special, the Desperate Girls have been dirty rushing every girl they deem even remotely passable for the last 4 years. Thankfully they have the lowest return rates of any of the so-called "top 3" and will take just about anyone these days, so you actually have a chance!

I've heard rumblings of all houses dirty rushing in one way or another. DG does it in more obvious ways so it's kind of an open secret, but I've heard rumors of even lower-tier houses technically "dirty rushing"
Did you know that even getting lunch during the period before rush with a lifelong friend from home who is going to be a PNM is considered dirty rushing? Or that even having a conversation with a PNM during rush week outside of the rush events is considered dirty rushing (even if they're someone you've known forever!)? The dirty rushing rules are so over the top and don't stop anything. In fact, I'd go as far as saying that they just make MORE trouble and contribute to the popularity of this site. How else are girls going to make rival houses look bad??

Hey,
So I'm on leadership for Panhellenic and actually check out this site just check for things like this. Getting emailed by chapters is absolutely 100% against the rules, the fact that you were emailed by 3 sororities is really concerning, because I am sure you are not the only one they emailed. Please email out panhellenic president (email is on the website) and let her know, if possible include the emails from the sororities. Doing so will not get you in trouble by any means, and it will not affect your recruitment. If you don't email us and we find out later on (i.e. during recruitment), the repercussions could be more serious... I know last year there were a few girls who were sent messages/emails that got to one of the final rounds then got dropped by the sorority, which is when they told panhellenic (aka too late for PHC to do anything about it). I would hate to see you in the same situation, and it is super important to stop these kind of things if possible.
