With summer about to start, it’s time for PNMs to take a hard look at their weight and body image. Last minute crash diets don’t work and aren’t healthy so please start dieting now. Gradual weight loss is always better and lasts longer. If you are under 5'-8", your weight should not exceed 107 pounds. That is a healthy BMI that you can live your entire life by. Over 5'-8" and less than 6'-1" should not exceed 111 pounds. If you are over 6'-1", you have no business joining a sorority. Find a circus instead.

How incredibly true. To think that a recent high school graduate that has been accepted to USC has anything else to think about this summer other then preparing her physical appearance for fall rush is spot on correct.
What a sad commentary on the state of women at USC.

6'1" using the 111 pound maximum you gave is a BMI of 14.6, which is severely underweight. 5'8" at 107 is a BMI of 16.3, which is still 2.2 points under normal weight. Using the average US female height of 5'4", I got 18.4, which is .1 below the lower threshold for normal weight but is probably reasonably healthy. 6'1"-111 pounds is great if you want dangerously anorexic girls who look like they live on a diet of meth and cigarettes, and 5'8"-107 pounds is still a very unhealthy amount underweight. Do not take this advice at all.
