rushing process

I'm thinking about transferring from a school in the Midwest for next year and I was wondering about rushing and pledging for fraternities. What's the rush/pledging process like? What events do they hold to meet prospective pledges? How long is informal/formal rush? How long is the pledging process? Are there any frats know for hazing/not hazing?
