Kappa. Easily. Given truth serum anyone would admit it.

DG. Not for everyone, but very popular at SC.

NOT TOP, BUT STILL DESIRED:

Pi Phi
Theta
Even though Theta hates the Pi Phi house with a passion, they are no better. They just attract very different girls.


Alpha Phi.
Not strong at almost any California school, especially the UC campus chapters. They want the girls they can not have and they make everybody else pay for this fact. They really are hated. Kappa pities them.

TriDELT: Had a big upswing a few years ago, but they have gone way down the charts. Compete with several better houses on that rare occasion.

Gamma Phi: Their days as an almost top house are ancient history but they are classy and nice and don't try to be something other than they are.

if you're in kappa, dg, theta, pi phi, or alpha phi, no one will look down on you.

those are the most desired houses at usc (some obviously more than others), and if you are in those, all your concerns will be fine: frat boys will be nice to you, etc. etc. if you're that concerned that you need the label of these letters to make you not looked down upon, though, thats pretty sad.

PNM's, USC is NOT like this website makes it seem. people definitely judge you more on the person you are than your stupid letters. if you're pretty or nice or funny or fun and aren't wearing top house letters, people will still think you're pretty and nice and fun.

You're absolutely right. If a guy or a girl is friends with you only because of your letters then you shouldn't be friends with them.

Newsflash: Guys don't care what sorority you are in what they care about is if you're hot. You'll make friends outside the greek system and in other houses regardless of house affiliation.

Go with the house you feel comfortable in. Remember, just because that house is a top house now or upper tier doesn't mean that it will remain there forever. Rankings are always changing a lower tier house can become an upper tier house just like a top house can become a mid tier house.

guys like girls who are hot. if you're in a typically "hot house" but aren't hot by guy's standards. it's not going to change anything. in a "bad house" but are hot? guys aren't going to think you're less hot.
if your main concern is this shallow frat boy image of what's hot then work on yourself (although appealing these type of boys is obviously not ideal); your letters esroiusly won't mean anything.

girls of all houses are friends. if you like a girl, be friends with her. and that's how most people (except the SMALL SMALL percentage of extremely shallow people) are

be in a house where you'll make friends. if you're hot, you'll be "desired" regardless of what house you're in. if you're fun and nice, you'll make lots of friends, regardless of what house you're in.

and exactly - with all the turmoil over houses dropping and rising recently, its pretty obvious that nobody can rely on a "rank" because ranks are fluid. rely on where you want to be!

there's a house for everyone. whether you pledge kappa, dg, tri felt, sig delt, or axo. Each house has good looking girls and not so good looking girls. My biggest advice to rushees is to know what you're getting into, and find one that you like and feel like you belong in, and not just for looks, rep, or popularity.
