sigma chi

On a scale of 1-10, how much politics are involved in Sigma Chi's rush process? Ive been told its impossible to get a bid without any connections in the house. Is this true?

Basically Sigma Chi is OC exclusive and its rare for anyone outside of those loaded to get in

What if Im loaded, from the OC, but don't know anyone in the house? Does that help at all

and how do they know whether I come from a privileged background or not?

EHH you still need some connections, but no doubt if your insanely rich they'll give a nod.

So if I'm just well off and have no connections at all, would they be worth rushing or would I automatically be cut?

People get in but they accept bids to Lambda/Phi Psi/TKE

From your clothes, attitude, the car you drive etc. rich people know how to find other rich people.

This is not true at all. A lot of people who know nothing about the rush process always feel that they have the right to voice their ignorant opinion. If you get along with the guys, you'll get a bid. It's not that competitive especially compared to Phi Psi and Lambda

Is the same true for minority students?

Do you really want to shave your brothers and take group showers that badly? This isnt the same Sigma Chi that was around when your parents went to USC. Do yourself a favor and rush Phi Psi, Lambda, or TKE instead

You need 90% of the house vote to get a bid. Lambda, Phi Psi, and TKE have much less politics involved and they have better registers too

By: dont bother
