sophomore rush

by:

I'm likely going to be going to USC next year, provided I get in. However, my family won't pay sorority dues the first year because they don't want me to be distracted my first year from academics and adjusting to college life. It's stupid but I've come to terms with it. My question was just how hard or easy is it to make a solid group of girls of the same type that you would have being in a sorority, without actually being in a sorority freshman year? Also, are fraternity parties still an option freshman year then? And if they are will attending them impact my options for rush sophomore year?

I'm sad your daddy doesn't love you enough to pay for a quality sorority experience

USC acceptance rate last year was 17% which means this year its going to be near 15-16%. It's a tough school to get into, I wouldn't assume you will get accepted to USC.

Don't worry about making friends with the right people. Just rush and see what happens, worry more about paying your dues and adjusting to USC.
