agd rush

by: Curious

AGD seems to be handling their first rush really well and I've heard a lot of positive things about their house and the girls. Could they move into the middle tier?

Is it worth it to take a bid from Alpha Gam? The sorority is so new that there's no info on them...what kind of mixers and socials do they have planned?

I'm pretty sure they have had mixers in the past and will definitely have some more this semester/year.

AGD, we are all rooting for you but please do not start playing the stupid ranking game on this site. Its's the fastest way to secure yourself a spot in the bottom. Plus you're overreaching which just makes it awkward. If this is a PNM, posting about rankings on this site is an unflattering and dangerous habit that you should break now. Be happy with your house and forget the rankings

you shouldn't rely on hearsay or greekrank to inform your opinions. if you have had a positive experience with AGD, then that is amazing - and if you've had a bad one, that's really disappointing to hear. From my point of view (which is one informed by girls that are in AGD or that are friends), there are several ways that AGD could be doing a much better job. From a superficial level, t-shirts, sitting in the campus center, and so on. But they could also be a bit more positive and upbeat during the day (i.e., outside of formal). But they put in a ton of hours to getting ready for recruitment, and the fact that they are making it through their first go around is awesome.

I think the key thing to keep in mind is this:

The "house" is only as strong as it's girls. So if you're thinking the physical house is what will win girls over, you are looking at it wrong. And if you seriously think tiers matter at all, best of luck to you. If all you want is a high-ranked tier, I'm not so sure you are cut out for sisterhood, nor a life as a self-confident woman.
