packets for rush?
by: pnmI'm transferring to USC in the fall as a sophomore and I'm really excited to go through recruitment, but I'm not sure if I'm preparing correctly. My best friend is head of recruitment of her sorority at a different school and she said I should put together a packet for each sorority with my resume, transcripts, picture, and letter of rec but other girls I've talked to aren't doing that and I don't want to look too eager. Is that what USC sororities are looking for or should I just send rec letters?

please don't listen to most of the previous answers..people are just trolling this site (why?, who knows...)
anyway, what you need to know is that the only "preparation" necessary is filling out the application (on the phc website). if you have letters of rec (from any school's chapter) feel free to send them in. while they aren't mandatory and you shouldn't stress if you don't have one for every house, they are helpful. basically they just give the girls in the houses a good idea of who is coming in so they can match you with people with whom you have similar interests. some girls will send in packets, but to be honest, there are far too many girls going through rush that they will at most glance over your materials..
as far as during rush- just be yourself so you find the house where you actually belon, not what your pretending to be..
