sophomore rush
by: JenSo I rushed for Panhellenic ast year but dropped out because my top choice (theta) dropped me. I'm thinking about rushing again next semester. What are my chances? Please help.

Rush again if you'd like, but keep an open mind. The house I'm in now was my fourth choice after house tours, but now I can't even imagine being anywhere else. Seriously, I was devastated when my top choice house dropped me, but since then I've talked to friends in that house who aren't going back in the fall because they hate the cattiness and superficiality. You can go to any frat parties you want anyway, so join a house for the sisterhood, not the name. Even if the house you get a bid from isn't your first choice from recruitment, take the bid and try it out--it's the best thing I've ever done for myself.

Honest is spot on! You can go to any frat party on the row so don't think about what your guy friends may think if u decide to rush a house that's not "top". No one but yourself will think of you any differently for not being in a top house. I have friends in almost every frat/ sorority on the row and no one treats me any different.

I agree with Honest, I had a similar experience and am also really happy I'm in the house I'm in. Like Honest, I have friends that are in so-called top 3 houses who are NOT happy in their houses.
