Don't expect a 100 dollar answer to a 5 cent prayer
by: @SC
Conformity pressure, like a weight on the chest,
Individual objections, in the shadows they rest.
Social identity, trying to be the best
Justifying abhorrence, man, think of the rest.
Diffusion of responsibility, like a silent plea,
Thinking someone else will act, but it ain't meant to be.
Fear of rejection, keeps us from being free,
In the crowd, but alone, that ain't the way to be.
Illusion of unanimity, like a twisted symphony,
Believing everyone's in tune, but it's just living delusionally.
A narrow range of thought, man that's a travesty.
Pressure for coherence, gotta break that fence,
Maintaining harmony, but at what expense?
The individualism gets lost in pretense,
Hold yourself accountable, don't be on the defense.
In the rap of life, be the voice that's bold,
Question the narrative, let the truth unfold.
In the face of wrong, let your story be told,
A lone pacifist howlin', fearless and cold.
