My Fraternity Rankings for Fall ‘23

It’s time again for my thoughts about fraternities at USC. I’m a senior in a sorority and know guys in every house, and every frat has some really great guys. My ranks are about the groups and centered on positivity.

The Best

All sororities love these frats for different reasons.

TKE – A big, traditional, motivated fraternity. Some say too big and too motivated. The guys are genuine and friendly, and by far the most diverse. Their parties are huge spectacles. Houses are awesome with a big backyard. The right fit for serious frat boys from just about anywhere.

Sigma Chi – I call it my dad’s favorite fraternity at USC. It’s old school USC and some say arrogant, but there are lots of nice guys once you get to know them. They take the same kind of members from the same areas. Rumor is they are getting a huge new house. Parties are mostly good. Great fit for OC and legacy kids.

Lambda – Not as serious about being a fraternity as TKE or Sigma Chi, but still manage to be one of the best. They are kind of a disorganized mess, but in a fun way. Parties are wild when they don’t get shut down. House is kind of a disaster, but atrium is a party favorite. Good fit for the casual frat boy.

The Good

These frats have good relations with most sororities and each have strong points.

ZBT – Really nice guys who have struggled recently as they move into a new forever house finally. Good sorority relations.

Pike – Strong brotherhood, take fraternity seriously and will always tell you about their plan to be the best. Like to throw parties.

Sammy – Well, what can I say. Lots of girls like them. Lots of girls avoid them. Had some trouble this past year, but are pulling it together.

Sigma Nu – Was almost a best fraternity right before USC shut them down for over a year. On their way back up, but it’s not easy.

The Rising

Pretty much everyone else is rising and getting better. At least that’s how I like to think.
