Spring' 23 General Rush Guide for PNMs

Tier 1
Sig Chi: Historically the best house here at USC, smartest guys with richest family backgrounds. Takes a lot of guys from OC, Chicago, Hamptons etc.(city and rich suburb based), and with that comes with "elitism" selection standards for PNMs. Honestly super cool guys, never really encountered anyone who came off as stuck up. Throws fairly random parties and they are either a hit or miss 50/50.

Lambda: Similar to Sig Chi, but more diverse with the international kids pipeline. Imo a more compacted and fun version of Sig Chi, there is a division between the American and International crowd within the house, but overall decent brotherhood. Had some recent improvement internally with structure, should remain at this spot for a much longer period.

Tke: Super different vibe from the first two houses even though I put it in the same tier. Tke has secured its third spot for years with Salesforce's donation money. With over 200 brothers and a strong budget this house throws the biggest parties, however they are not necessary the most fun as some of their guys are super arrogant and unlikable. Would be interesting to see if they improve recruitment standards in the spring.

Tier 2
Sammy: Mini Tke but replace the flaw of arrogant actives with a bit of substance overusage. Besides that, the guys in this house are respectful, laid back, yet good at planning and execution, thus that's why they always host great parties. Think of this house as the extroverted problem child who's nice to everyone one.

Pike: Perfectly matches the house's national reputation. These guys throw every single dime of their budget on fun parties. Arguably the biggest party house on row, some of their older actives were weird but recent newer PCs have been carrying with their creativities and artistic abilities. Very diverse w/race and gender identity.

Zbt: Girls love Zbt. One of the most likable houses on the row despite problems with house renovation. Brotherhood is broken into many different small groups yet each are strong due to a strong ROTC recruitment culture. Takes a big PC every semester but doesn't have the best brother conversion rate.

Tier 3
Phi Sig: Ferda men who were indecisive. Known for its motel style property, this house has the best physical layout for insane events and threw some top tier registers back in the days. However, staying in USC IFC last semester really pulled them back from recruitment, the small size of their fall PC simply could not produce the same outcome.

KA: Worst house to pledge by far as their hazing reputation is known to be hell. Formerly upper tier house AEPi so some old sorority relations remain and they've been trying to revive their status for years. Getting less and less relevant on campus but niche group of guys, almost like a secret society.

SNu: This house is like your first ex. You hate it and love it at the same time. Prior to suspension, SNu was an Upper Tier house with immaculate potential. However, despite its ride-or-dies many girls still feel iffy with their parties. Has a very long way to go.

KSig: A house mix of ups and downs. KSig did really well at the beginning of this semester by joining forces at Phi Sig's house. However, it was proven later that they simply could not create the same level of production by themselves. Aside from that, the older guys are really carrying this house with questionable PCs the past two semesters.

Rest very much takes anyone so don't stress just be yourself
