"obvious" or "obviously"

I think it is pretty silly that so many rankings and discussions include the word "obvious" - like how "obvious" it is that an organization is self-ranking, or how "obvious" a reputation is. if these things were so "obvious," then there would be no question about it. but the fact of the matter is that there are multiple perspectives to be had about houses, and differing experiences of them too. I think the only "obvious" thing is, ironically, that using the term "obvious" is a feeble attempt at making a ranking seem more valid and credible. But no, it isn't obvious that XYZ house is self-ranking, or that all girls in a sorority are a specific way, or that XYZ house is bashing ABC house. Most of the "evidence" for claims on this website are less than crystal clear, and it's just a silly ranking/bashing contest.
