The Row in 1932
by: GAMMIEA
I was a freshman in 1932 and, oh, the right smart times the lads and I had. There were only two fraternities then, Lambda Chi and Delta Iota Kappa. We used to have interfraternity mixers but because there were no women yet at USC, my fraternity, LX, would often dress in drag to jokingly play the part of the sorority. It was all in good fun until one night the bathtub hooch flowed a little too liberally and the DIKs got a little rough with us. I took on 3 or 4 DIKs that night, more than most, until one caught me off guard and a DIK smacked me across the face.
Oh, we LX were such a lively bunch then, and even though those DIKs seemed to get me on all sides that night, I'd gladly go back to do it all again.

I think it's interesting that the only part of that story you take issue with is the date.
Lambdas must then regularly dress in drag and get smacked in the face by a lot of DIKs.
