agd dues
by: WonderingSo I am curious about them...are they doing formal next year if I rush then, or only informal? And are their dues really doubling once they get to move into the house?

Like any of the other housed sororities on the row you will pay dues. If you live in the house you will also pay for room and board. If you live out of the house you will pay a parlor fee. I do not believe Alpha Gam is assessing the parlor fee for 2014 spring. So yes, there will be a change in total cost, but dues are not doubling.

They didn't "spike to $1700." The girls were given the total amount they would have to pay for their pledge at the very beginning. Instead of having the total amount due on initiation, the sorority broke down some of it into monthly installments during pledge semester. They knew from day 1 how much they would be paying and when and that did not change. Some girls just decided to stay til the end and drop once the big charges came. This is similar to other sororities as well.
Also, they didn't lose anywhere close to 40-50 girls.
