Bad news for the Greeks at USC

by:

I was in contact this week with a vice-provost in Student Affairs about a totally different subject when this came up. This Spring's pledge classes will be the last new classes allowed at the University of Southern California. They are not going to immediately close every house but I would imagine many would end up closing o disbanding within the first year without the funds that come from new members.

I would expect communication from the University about this in the next week. Some other stories are being held pending the announcement.

I was in a fraternity as have my sons been. I want Greek Life to survive this. It will not. I was not randomly talking with a vice-provost. I had unrelated business and they knew I was heavily involved as a chapter advisor at one point.

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!! GREEK ALUMNI ARE THE LARGEST SUPPORTERS AND DONORS TO USC AND IF THEY END GREEK LIFE, USC BETTER START MAKING A LIST OF STUDENT PROGRAMS, COURSES, PERSONNEL ETC., THEY WILL NEED TO CUT LOOSE.
