if you go through formal recruitment, are you guaranteed a bid from at least one sorority?

Not necessarily, but it is very likely that you will get a bid. Very, very few girls are cut from every house they visit--it is more common for girls to drop out of recruitment, usually out of feelings of stress or frustration. If you make it to pref (the last day of recruitment) with one or two houses, you are guaranteed a bid to one of those houses.

Often PNMs biggest mistake is the wrong or cheap shoes. Spare no expense when it comes to shoes and handbags. You will thank me later!

There are girls who get dropped from every house. You only know that you'll get a bid if you make it to the last round.
