Can you lie about grade level during recruitment?

I’m going to be a Junior this coming school year and I really want to rush a sorority. But I heard it’s competitive for Juniors to go through recruitment. Am I better off lying about my grade and telling the girls that I’m a sophomore? Or are they bound to find out?
