professional frat, alpha gam or re-rush?
by: So...
I'm a sophomore and like a few other people on here, I got dropped by the houses I liked and left formal recruitment before it was over
I still really want the community an social aspect the greek system offers
Should I try to find this is a professional frat like Alpha Phi Omega or Delta Kappa Alpha, or should I consider Alpha Gamma Delta, or should I just rush next year as a junior?
I know getting a bid as a junior is really hard but I really liked 6-7 of the 10 houses and it's bound I'll know more people in each house after another year here
I like the idea of Alpha Gamma but I'm scared it will be a struggle and not the real experience, but on the other hand I could risk getting dropped by everyone including them next year if I just re-rush, or not get one of the houses I like
The relationships are the most important thing to me, but it would be nice to have a good social calendar
Any serious advice is much appreciated!

You could always try Alpha Gam and drop before you initiate if you don't like it (since you'll have met your pledge class and all by then). You would still be able to re-rush next year. And also you can join a professional frat and still be in a Panhellenic sorority - so go for it either way!
