petition to start second row
by: Just Wondering
There were three girls standing at university and 28th today with clipboards trying to get people to sign a petition to start a second row north of 28th.
They said it would improve parking and safety for everyone.
Did anyone else sign the petition? Who is behind this and where would this new row actually occur?
#2by: I know about it
It a simple plan from what I understand. Move the second and third tier sororities off 28th onto Portland or another street further north. The top sororities would get the properties of those that move to expand their houses and build new parking lots for the girls.
Though it might take years to accomplish, it's not necessarily a bad idea.
#3by: Not happening
Those so-called second and third tier sororities may not be tops today, but most of them have been around forever and some of them were tops or close to it not so long ago. Moreover, most of them own their houses. That is, they own the property their house is on. They aren't moving. Delusional effort by some chick and her friends who are bummed out about their parking situation.
#5by: I saw them today
They were cutie girls wearing nice clothes but I don't know from what house. Lots of guys were stopping and signing the petition. They said they had over 500 signatures but I think some of the guys were signing all three so Panhellenic better check the lists before they accept and actually act on the petition. Tomorrow they said they will have a table by Tommy Trojan to get more signatures.
Can they really just move a house like Tridelt to Portland street?
#7by: Idea
Rather than trying to move any houses (which is absurd!) to a new row,
I think it's better for all the houses to pool money and build a sorority/frat multi-level parking garage like they have on campus. The garage could be on the street (assuming it's nearby) where they want these houses to move.
#8by: Truth!
#9by: Wow
I thought USC had high admission standards haha. This fixation on bulldozing lower tier houses for parking spots is pathetic even for this site, and it's been drawn out to ridiculous extremes. Whether or not it's real, whoever keeps posting it should seek professional help.

Well, if you see "Truth" and her sidekicks standing out there again with their petition, you'll all know what house they're from. So misguided, divisive and just dumb (the sororities are mostly owned by themselves not USC, so they're not moving). She wants to create a second, separate Row "ghetto?" Barf.
