what they look for?

by: Wondering.

What do sororities at USC generally look for in a pledge? Do they look for someone that comes from a rich family? What kind of recs look good to a sorority? How much recs do you need and how important are they? If you're very involved in campus, will that look good? Cause I want to try figure skating, cheerleading, volleyball, and a political club when I get to USC? I read somewhere on this site that sororities can tell who they want to cut just by looking at their applications? Is that true? What looks good on an application? Thanks for the help! :)

If you are going to join a top house you need to be the complete package: Charming, thin, perfect hair and makeup, and the right clothing, shoes & handbag.

All that other high school stuff doesn't matter.

I'd stop eating now!

coming from the "right" town-city is important. having a family name that means something is important. recs from the "right" women is important. not all "rich" is the same. Yes, be skinny but toned also, have gorgeous hair, skin, clothes and hopefully you are from somewhere that matters, not a "no-name where the hell is that town." Local girls who have it all nailed down pick from a small handful of houses, and the rest go wherever they can get a bid. that's the 100% truth.

So skinny, pretty, and classy? Ok. But what about the application thing that I mentioned? Does that matter?

yes and so do really good recs. the top houses especially. some houses will give a bid to any girl with a pulse but if you want a really good house, have the recs from high profile women alumni.
