rankings are shallow

by:

The ranking system here is ridiculous, based on completely superficial factors like looks and wealth and popularity. Grow up. This is college, not high school. Go to rush, find the brotherhood or sisterhood where you feel most comfortable, and be proud to be part of the group that gives you a bid (regardless of what that group's popularity is.)

I’m in a top tier sorority and I think rankings are bs. Strive for more in life than peaking in college.

Get real, you joined a top tier for a reason. You wouldn't be on this site if you thought rankings were bs.

Everyone knows college is supposed to be the best time of your life. Make the most of it.

Yes, I do like the friends I made in my sorority. Yes, as a freshman I did like the idea of being in a top house. But that magic wears off fast. The whole ranking culture at usc is very unhealthy, even to those in top houses. I realized fairly quickly that there were not a whole lot of differences between myself and girls in other houses. It all came down to who was better at recruitment and if you knew the right people. I could have easily ended up in a “lower” house if I did not have those things going for me. Rankings are subjective and based on so many meaningless factors, even beyond looks. Once you quit paying attention to them is when you can really enjoy all that your sisterhood has to offer.
