do sophomores in sororities have to live in their sorority houses or do they have a choice to live elsewhere?

depends on the house. kappa makes you sign a contract on bid day, aphi will sometimes make girls double pay for beds, and other houses will usually just require you live in at some point for 1 semester or a full year
