how do sororities know?

I know being wealthy is important for sororities like Kappa but how do they know if your wealthy??? What factors in like where do you live? What your parents do? I’m from Orange County and my parents have high paying jobs but I wouldn’t consider myself rich compared to some people at USC.

They like to ask where you vacation and where you shop and shallow stuff like that.

My rush application it ask what my parents did for a living!! The only college I know to do this. I am also sure whatever address you put on your rush application sororities look up the value of your house. I have been told this by several friends in the "so called top houses."
