more details on singer

How much worse can this scandal make our school look? I think the estimate posted earlier today by the Financial Times that the value of the SC degree has declined in value by 50-60% due to the scandal and years and years of mismanagement by administration and the board. Where is our new President? Why haven't any Board members resigned? As the trial is scheduled and more details emerge our poor school will look even worse than it does now? Does this mean our degrees will be virtually worthless? We are on a ship without a Captain OR a crew!

Maybe it’s because I’ve done a semester abroad in London, but the Daily Mail is a tabloid. It’s not a real news source.

Probably because Singer was based in Newport Beach and USC is close in proximity & most desirable high tier school in area.and he could have face to face contact grooming with his inside crooks? Just a guess

Actually our degrees have gone up 2-3X in value, it shows the lengths people will go to get in a top school like USC. Don’t see anyone bribing their way into Long Beach State or Cal Stae LA

Just because you tell yourself something that doesn't make it true. Facts are facts. The fact is our degrees are being devalued. Your logic makes no sense...people made those bribes BEFORE the scandal...THOSE BRIBES CAUSED THE SCANDAL. We're talking about the degree AFTER the scandal?? I guarantee people will be a lot less willing to bribe their way into here. You're so dumb it hurts my brain. Someone needs to be held accountable and delusional people like you are the reason nobody is.

Your stupidity astounds me. Getting admitted it one thing but if they were cheating having people take their test for 4 years that’s another, all those admitted OBVIOUSLY were capable of completing the air corse work. If they were.TOTALLY unqualified they would have just made fools out of themselves. Now let’s talk of TOTALLY unqualified students... those would be students admitted with athletic scholarships or under the guise of racial diversity. A large percentage of scholarship athletes had no business graduating high school let alone be accepted to a top university. If you want to look at CHEATING,BRIBERY,PAYOFFS just look at atheletes. TIME TO END ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS!. SAY NO TO BLACK AND BROWN PRIVILEGE!

do you know what yield rate means? Of the people USC accepted a smaller percentage actually chose to enroll than they expected, thus leaving room for spring admits and transfers to come in to make the classes full.

Stupidity still exists how did USC stoop so low to accept you??. Are you really saying USC accepted every single applicant that applied to USC and they still have room for more.. LOL LOL IDIOT!. USC has become more prestigeous because of the news and it will be even tougher to get accepted.

of course USC can fill a class...we are a top 20 school! But I do think of the people who were admitted, fewer people said yes to USC this year - unfortunately, the scandals scared some people off who were on the fence. Plenty of people behind who will take their spots though so goodbye trolls.

I don’t think that the yield rate went down, I think that the admissions office started to treat the spring admits and appeals as a waitlist while simultaneously admitting fewer students—in an effort to avoid last years housing problems. So not so much kids not wanting to go here, but admissions being strategic to avoid over-enrolling.

This is exactly right. No school, even Harvard, expects to get every single admit enrolled. They plan for that. The troll is trying to say that we can't fill the class, but I know 2 people rejected on appeal and 4 still on the Spring admit list.

I'm glad the troll learned a new phrase though with Yield Rate. Too bad she doesn't actually understand how they work.
