by: nickWho cares if the admissions rate is 13% if the ability to buy your kid into our school is so easy! Feel totally betrayed by the administration and angry that I chose this school. Total joke of a situation. To the person that said the value of our degrees has gone done 50% I am sad to say I AGREE. Total scam.

Email wasn't helpful to understanding what exactly the admin will be doing to fix this situation and what the consequences will be for the involved students.

Get real! Admin is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the admissions process and in this case we have an EPIC fail. Zero checks and balances anyplace in the system. How bout some simple checking to see if the students that were supported by water polo, soccer and crew were even involved with the sports? This entire thing is a joke and simple follow up would have figured this out ages ago. Don't fool yourself.

I agree with you that they were slack in following up and it seems like that would be an easy thing to do. However, I know I for one had no help or strings pulled getting in as the MAJORITY of students. They let 24 in fraudulently over @4 years. It’s awful but absolutely not the way most are selected. Georgetown had 12 admitted to tennis that never played. USC had a greedy gatekeeper who people trusted. I’m sure things will change now!

Don’t fool yourself that it just just 24 over 4 years. This latest info is tip of th iceberg as it didn’t touch the known big money sports such as football and basketball. Federal case is ongoing so wait for the rest of the story to emerge. Huge payments go to players and their parents and this situation has been going on for years and it’s facilitated by alumni and administration and is part of a well oiled and very wealthy system. Latest details are small fry compared to big money sports so stay tuned. This story is just beginning.

Well if you are Including real recruitment to the big sports and money involved be ready for fallout of most D1 schools! This situation is regarding actual fraud and no real athletes. USC was one of 8 impacted by this and proximity to Singers scam company didn’t help. Thank Donna for her leadership and greed
