congratulations to all

Just wanted to say congratulations to everyone who went through rush and is now apart of a group. We all go through this process of being selected or rejected. For some rush is a devastating and hurtful week. For those who receive bids, the joy can be short-lived because we then we have to hear how the group we selected or were selected by is ranked. It is all so shallow! Can we not just be happy for each other and enjoy our new friends without being so mean? USC is a big place and there is a place for everyone. Words have the power of life or death. Let's speak life, love and joy to each other and be kind.

I'm just tired of the shallow, stupid and mean comments about looks and money and ranking on popularity. All the fleeting things that could be gone in a blink like the houses in Malibu fires..
