can i rush?

I am a freshman who is looking to rush but never registered for recruitment. ifc is saying that its too late to register but that there will be a more informal secondary rush after this more formal rush. but fuc that. Can I just show up to the house tours or do houses actually care if you are not registered? If anyone knows please lmk, thanks!
