is greek life only for the uber wealthy?

Prospective female student here. USC has always been my dream school. I was wondering if sororities, however, only take the extremely rich girls (as I’ve read before). I come from a family with money and I am very lucky, but not the kind of money these children of celebrities have. Will this affect my chances of getting into a good sorority? Thanks!

Good as in Kappa and DG? You need to be very very wealthy and good looking to get in. The rest it doesn’t matter as much.

In some houses, it's cheaper to live in the sorority house than it is to live in on or off-campus housing/ around the area

im in a good house and im poor lol so unless you want kappa i dont think it matters

I was cut at all the top houses. I was asked over and over what my parents did for a living, were I vacation, did I go to a private school etc. I am not wealthy and immediately was rejected from the houses despite being a legacy. I have friends in those houses now and they even told me flat out that is why I was dropped.
