How much does being a minority affect your chances of being in a top fraternity or sorority?

It matters more for sororities . Middle and upper middle will accept you . LXA and SX will only accept white guys and DG and Kappa white girls .

Looks like nobody can leave a productive comment here. I'm Indian and I would like to know if all things considered (looks, wealth, personality) my race would still be a handicap in certain houses. Just be real about it.

Most likely, yes. The Greek System is very looks-based and very superficial. There's diversity. But the lower-tier houses are more diverse. The more popular a house is, the more progressively white it becomes. Go through the process if you want. But I would lower my expectations. You can get into a house, but the chances of getting into a top house are significantly less.

It also matters if you have an accent. People who have Indian accents are looked down upon
