dirty rush

Hey all,
Super happy with how rush turned out. I have a question and I don't care about which sorority so much so don't say which do and which dont, more like what people are talking about.
There's a girl on my floor that when we were talking about which houses we wanted, she'd be like "I'm going [sorority]". We were like, "oh you liked them" and she'd be like "no im getting a bid there." And she did. Ironically by the only house that cut me, hah, but that doesn't matter because I got my #1 all week.
Some girls on my floor said she was dirty rushed.
I know some of the guys were invited to secret parties and stuff during rush week. Is that what happened with her? Or is it just telling her during rush they want her? I'm really confused.
Like I said, I don't want to get anyone in trouble because I'm not even against dirty rushing so don't feel the need to say which houses, I'm just curious as to waht actually goes on.

Our chapter doesn't officially dirty rush but there's ALWAYS a girl or two who runs around and tells her high school friends or whatever that they're "definitely getting a bid". It's like, sure she made the slideshow but there's still so much that can happen between now and then. And sometimes the girl ends up getting cut and then they're angry at the active.

Most houses will have slideshows or similar type things about the girls they most want to target during rush. Friends of actives, legacies, top PNMs, etc. They review it all as a chapter before rush starts.

I see and if you're in the slideshow most likely you'll be invited back for the following rounds?

Maybe. Probably? I think most of the girls get invited back to the second round. There are plenty of girls that we were targeting that ended up not being a fit for us, and then there's always girls we had no idea about that scored really well. But if a girl on our slideshow didn't impress us in person, she'll get dropped, for sure. She won't have the scores.
I think it's different for each house. Pretty much the only way a girl can advance with us is if they get good scores from each girl they talk to, so even if an active has a best friend that they love, if that girl gets average scores she's getting dropped, and if some girl we never heard of gets perfect scores she'll advance.
In another house I know they get to talk about some/all of the girls, so theoretically a girl could get average scores but then if a really popular girl in the house stood up and said "i want her" maybe she'd sway people.
