everyone say something nice about each sorority

It is just really disheartening to see all the bashing as well as the transparency of the ratings purporting to be from PNMs. It's also unfortunate that the first rated criterion on this site is looks, and involvement and classiness are buried in the middle. I am pretty, but I view that as just a lucky gift, not something that makes me automatically superior to anyone else. I have friends in many houses-- there are some great girls in every house and also some not so great ones-- this just reflects the way life is. When I rushed, I looked for a place I would feel comfortable in, that had girls that were DOING THINGS and involved, that seemed to have character and integrity. The whole Recruitment process is very superficial (how can someone truly be fairly evaluated in just a 5 minute conversation?) and is largely looks driven. I encourage you PNMs to really think about your choices and to not be sucked into the high school/mean girls/popularity contest of it all. I also encourage you to not just party and do things within your house, but to get involved in campus organizations, volunteer, and to take leadership roles. Employers care more about this than how many exchanges with top frats your house had. I wish you all good luck. I lost my voice and am a little sick, so I didn't do House Tours today, but hope to be back helping my house find great girls tomorrow. The Recruitment process is hard on both sides-- just take it all in stride!
