If I'm a kappa at csun this year and transfer to USC next year, do I automatically become a kappa or what do I need to do?

Each chapter is separate. I don't know the reputation of the CSUN chapter, it has a different selection process. every fraternity and sorority have a chapter somewhere considered exclusive and in the top tier and also every fraternity and sorority probably have a house somewhere that might be a new colony or because of their selection process considered bottom tier. Here at USC we are considered the most exclusive house and are because of our selection process and will not automatically let someone affiliate that might have gone though a entirely different selection process that might even clash.

This is a question to direct towards the USC Kappa chapter, not GreekRank. There's a process to affiliate with chapter after you transfer, but again you have to ask the chapter how to go about that. I'd say just email their president and ask what you need to do.

I think they won't turn down your request to affiliate because as long as you catch up on anything that is different in this branch vs yours you'll be good and won't "clash". You guys are sisters technically so I don't see them turning down your request to affiliate.

It depends how attractive and rich you are. kappas are known to pick girls based on their wealth that's why they are probably known as the sorority with the least attractive members. Their only care is that your wallet is bigger than your waistline.

NOT automatic for any house, but easier standards than rushing at USC. But this is def not a question for Greek Rank. Please stop posting specifics because it could only hurt you directly.

Contact KKG AFTER you are accepted and committed to SC, not before.
