junior transfer rush
by: justcuriousBefore you start by saying it's impossible, what are the actual chances a junior girl transfer from the bay area who knows people at USC can get a bid from Kappa, DG, Theta, Pi Phi, Aphi, Tri Delt, or Adpi? And if not at any of those, then any house?

You can definitely get a bid to alpha phi, tri delt, or adpi. Kappa, dg, theta, and pi phi will be significantly more challenging, but if you are cute, you'll be fine because EVERY sorority has a junior quota (meaning that they have to take a certain number of juniors). Also, every PNM goes for the same 4 houses, but only about 15% of the girls going through rush will receive one of the 4.

Every house has a junior quota to fill, it's just a matter of whether or not they choose to fill it, although nearly every house takes a couple of juniors. ADPi, Tridelt, APhi, AGD, GPhi, AXO almost always have a couple of juniors. Houses with fewer members are more likely to take juniors/transfers to reach numbers, whereas larger houses like DG, Pi Phi, Theta, Kappa (all usually reach total) usually take underclassmen. HOWEVER it is completely possible to get a bid from these houses! Make sure you want them because you like the girls and what they stand for, not for any other reason. Be yourself and if you fit, then it'll hopefully work out.
Selectivity is usually based on if that chapter reached quota, or the recommended number of members, the previous semester - DG, Pi Phi, Theta, and Kappa historically have always historically reached quota, which allows them to be very selective. Houses that are under quota have to be a little less selective, meaning they can take more girls.
