recs

So I read on a website that recs are a must for sorority rush. Is this true? Can I get by if I don't have any recs? I don't know anyone who was in a sorority before

you can absolutely get by without rec letters -- having them can help, but it won't hurt if you don't have any. I had rec letters for all but two of the chapters when I did recruitment, and those two houses I didn't have letters for ended up in my final four.

recs are not a must at all, I didn't have any and a lot of girls in my rush group didn't either
