hot middle/lower tier girls

Why are there some super pretty girls in middle to lower tiers who look better than some top tier girls? Obviously there aren't a ton but I've seen a few in bottom sororities who easily look like top tier material... why would such attractive girls not receive bids from the top sororities/pick not so good ones?

What separates the tiers is mostly done by social factors. The girls might not be party queens or outgoing. In the same sense those girls might want a house more chill and less busy with events.

The nasty secret is houses like DG have to take some bubs to close other girls who are really pretty.

I went here years ago and was dropped by all the top houses near the end of rush. I pledged a middle to lower middle tier house even though the fraternities voted me the best looking girl on the row. The only reasons I can come up with are the following: 1. I'm Latina which was not readily accepted back in those days, 2. I was from the San Gabriel valley which is not the "right" neighborhood, 3. My family was not rich and, 4. I realized too late that the top I wore on one of the rush days was slightly see-through and I didn't wear a bra. I can't think of any reasons other than these. I hope it's different there now.
