by: hmHow do sororities/frats get paired for wednesday exchange? how come I never see all the houses with people in them, only like 2 or 3 sometimes?? Does not everyone participate in formal or informal exchange every week?

its pretty much in rotation - the social chair of each sorority plans what they're doing for exchange with the social chair for each frat, and they go through a cycle. (Except Beta who up until this year was only doing exchanges with Kappa/DG/ADPi, though I heard they did one with APhi this year so I guess that's changed). Everyone has different initiation times, so during I-Days they won't have exchanges. Some do big/little retreats or sisterhood nights on particular Wednesday's, or sometimes even sororities will have really long chapter meetings because they're doing elections or something and not have exchange...it just depends!!

Also, you're completely wrong. Beta does exchanges with aphi and gphi as well. The one sorority they DONT have exchanges with however is ADPi lol

they've done exchanges with agd too. I know for a fact they do exchanges with kappa/dg/gamma phi/aphi/agd. don't they refuse to do exchanges with adpi? lol

Ok that makes a lot of sense!! So I'm guessing sometimes frats won't have an exchange every wednesdays because there's less sororities right?
And why doesn't beta do exchange with everyone? Is it up to the social chairs of other sororities to initiate an exchange with them?
