this needs to end

All of the horrible nasty things that are written on this site need to stop. These anonymous messages stop people from joining the greek system. These anonymous messages cause people to drop out of the greek system. They cause tears, hurt and pain. They don't foster a sense of community. Singling anyone out on this is absolutely not acceptable. Ranking sororities on their hotness is pathetic and misogynist. Spreading false malicious rumours is no joke, and can have serious implications. What if that mean comment you wrote was enough to send a person over the edge. What if that person harmed themselves or did something worse because of it. Writing hateful things on this site, and hiding behind the computer screen like a complete coward, is just a reflection of your own insecurities and self-hatred. There is no need to single out people based on their race. If you have a problem with someone or their actions you should sort it out with them face to face. If you feel the need to rank groups of people based on superficial appearances, keep it to yourself. This is not what UBC or the Greek System is about. This is cyber bullying, and it kills people.

The next time you think about posting something on this site I encourage you to think about the impact that might have on a group or individual. You have no idea what kind of battles people are facing.
