Dear pnm,
It may not be a reflection of you but how you compare to the rest of the PNMs. Remember we rank you in comparison. You have been good but there are other PNMs more involved, accomplished, etc that subsequently got spots and not you. Don't take it personally, go with the top choices you did get and have fun.
