told not to rush

As an incoming 1st year, I wrote in my 2019 Bio that I was thinking about joining a Sisterhood but was told by my 2nd year friend not to.does this mean her and her sorority would never want someone like me?

ignore your friend. she might have said that to prevent having other sorority girls creep but it does not mean her sorority would not want you

Definitely go through recruitment! Even if you don't join her sorority, it doesn't mean the other 7 would be the same way!

Your friend doesn't sound too nice :( I would give recruitment a try and see for yourself! All the sororities are different, so I am sure you could find one for your own
